Isn’t this a wonderful picture? I loved, as well, the tales of protestors making sure that the library in Cairo was safe. It really put the cuts in library provision that is going on in the UK at the moment in perspective.
Yes. Warms the cockles of my heart. In so many ways, Egypt’s revolution has benefitted from its antiquities and its enormous tourist industry. It’s just so great to hear that banned authors have so quickly made it to the stalls.
I always love reading about people being able to get the books they haven’t been able to get before.
